sad I’m frustrated

Remember a Language Preference

Why don't you store the user's language preference on the ATM card so we don't have to answer the language question each time. According to the US Census, no more than 3% of the people in Arlington Heights speak Spanish, whether their primary language or not. Why should the other 97% of us have to answer the language question every time we use the ATM?

    happy I’m thankful
    Hi Randy,

First off, we are grateful to you for providing us with your honest feedback. Secondly, we apologize that this has caused you some frustration. Unfortunately, this appears to be somewhat of an industry standard, perhaps in an effort to reach out to a wider audience and make the ATMs more accessible banks have begun doing this even in areas where there are not many spanish speakers. You see this not only in ATMs, but in almost any customer service area, be it financial or not.

We will make sure we mention it to our ATM provider as a possible future improvement. It is a valid and reasonable complaint and if it is in our power to address, we will most certainly push for it.

We'd like to thank you again for banking with us and for taking the time to give us your thoughts.

    Best,
    -Mike.
